The total trade of Germany and China reached EUR7.942bn in Jan. 2008, up by 16.49 per cent year-on-year, according to the newest statistics released by German Federal Statistics Office. Specifically, German imports from China totaled EUR5.213b and exports to China reached EUR2.729b, up by 11.56 per cent and 27.33 per cent respectively year-on-year.
The total trade of Germany and Hong Kong amounted to EUR595m in Jan., up by 4.88 per cent over the year earlier period. Specifically, German imports from Hong Kong reached EUR168m, down by 11.15 per cent year-on-year, and exports to Hong Kong totaled EUR427m, up by 12.90 per cent year-on-year. The total trade of Germany and Taiwan stood at EUR1.095b, imports from Taiwan, EUR559m, exports to Taiwan, EUR536m, up by 21.80 per cent, 7.34 per cent and 41.74 per cent respectively as against the same period last year.
