The Upper Limit of 40% for Taiwan Enterprises to Invest in the Mainland will be Canceled
2008-06-30 08:07
  From:China Business Times]    Article type:Reproduced

The Vice Chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang revealed at an interview in Nanning, Guangxi that the current government of Taiwan was committed to promoting cross-strait economic and trade exchanges, and the upper limit of 40% for Taiwan enterprises investing in the mainland would be canceled.

Guan Zhong said that the current cross-strait relation was developing towards a positive direction; under this climate, the increasingly trend of close economic and trade exchanges between the two sides was inevitable. He said that because of some reasons, the Taiwan government formerly set up upper limit of 40% for Taiwan enterprises to invest in the mainland. Different from the policy of former ruling Democratic Progressive Party to deliberately suppress cross-strait economic exchanges, now the ruling party Kuomintang is welcoming Taiwan enterprises to invest in the mainland; they will do everything as long as it is conducive to cross-strait development, of which the upper limit of 40% for Taiwan enterprises to invest in the mainland will be cancelled.
