MOFCOM released Announcement No. 11, 2007 on final determination on anti-dumping investigation of imported Nonyl Phenol originated from India and Taiwan on March 28, 2007. According to the determination, dumping of Nonyl Phenol originated from India and Taiwan existed, Chinese Nonyl Phenol industry suffered from a material damage and there was causality between dumping and the injury. As a result, MOFCOM determined to impose anti-dumping duties on such import.
In accordance with the provision of Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Anti-dumping, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) released an announcement on Dec 29, 2005 to initiate anti-dumping investigations on imported Nonyl Phenol originated from India and Taiwan. MOFCOM released the preliminary determination on Jul 10, 2006. On Dec 26, 2006, China issued an announcement to prolong this case to Jun 29, 2007.
Starting from March 29, 2007, importers of the investigated products should pay anti-dumping duties to China’s customs according to the duty rate affirmed in the final determination. Anti-dumping duties will be collected over 5 years with a rate ranging from 4.08% to 20.38%.
